Hi!! My name is Tony Spranger and my wife's name is Amber. We have been married for 16 years and are the parents of 4 children—Caleb (13), Joshua (11), Ben (3) and Rebekah (1). I am a graduate of Moline Sr. High, and my wife is a graduate of Rock Island. We have been doing youth ministry together from day one and love every opportunity we have to spend with students. My boys like it too because it gives them someone cooler than mom and dad to play with.
I am a college graduate from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN where I received my degree in youth ministry. I am a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. I love watching Men's college basketball and especially March Madness.
I have recently developed a hobby of running and just completed my first 5k race over labor day weekend of 2013. Running has become a way for me to clear my head and get some exercise. My other hobby is going to the students activites. I know it sounds like part of my job description, but it is one of my favorite parts of being a youth pastor.
I love a good CD, but do not necessarily care for concerts. I will go if the students want to, but I would rather listen to a CD in my car. I am both introverted and extroverted. I love being around people, but I also enjoy a day that will allow me to curl up with a good book, movie or CD and be by myself. I love technology and the idea that it is allowing people around the world to stay connected.
Something most people don't know about me is that I broke my ankle in the summer of 1997 and it took 8 screws and a plate to put my ankle back together (I still have 2 screws in my ankle).
